With the final day of 2016 coming to an end, I like to take a minute to reminisce about all the amazing clients and dogs I was able to meet. I was faced with many challenges and learning curves this past year and I am super grateful for every minute of it. Every dog I meet teaches me something new, they each leave an imprint on my heart and soul. Here is a few images and moments this year that I will always cherish!
I was super fortuante to be able to work with a very talented photography in Edmonton, Darcy Evans. I was hired to accompany him to the Regional Agility Competition in Calgary. This was a huge honor and learning curve for me. While taking a portrait has its challanges at times, trying to get 5-10 good images of a dog that runs a course in 15 secs....I thought was impossible lol. Darcy spent time training me and showing me his ways to get amazing images of these speed demons! For that I am very grateful I had the privialge to work with him. The knowledge he passed to me was truly priceless.
I am proud that my spouse and I were finally able to finish our basement, giving me a work space for my studio and a working washroom for my clients! People, not dogs haha. This means so much to me and will be very handy for the next year in hosting events and giving my clients the option of an indoor session. I am looking forward to utilizing that space more in 2017.
This year I had the honor of raising around $4000 for local rescue organizations. This of course would not have been possible without each and everyone of you who came and supported these events! 2017 will be full of them as well! I am in the process of getting dates worked out as we speak.
Thank you for the continued support! Here is a few of my favorites from the fundraisers.
2016 was also hard for many as they said goodbye to their beloved best friends. Please join me in taking a minute to show respects to those we have lost.
Remember Me Sessions are the best and worst part of being a pet photographer. If you beloved pet is nearing the end of their lives, please do not wait to contact me. May each and every one of them run free and rest in peace.
I wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! I look forward to seeing all of you next year! Thank you once again for the continued support in 2016.
