Life tends to pass us by extremely quickly. Almost too quickly. To the point where we all at some point in our lives will sit down and let out a big deep breath, asking ourselves where did it go?
From the first time we lay eyes on them, to the final moments of goodbye, we never have enough time. There is never enough time to say I love you, to get enough kisses and get snuggles in. We always want more.
My friend recently lost not one, but two of her boys. A loss and pain no one should ever have to endure so closely together. One was unexpected and she for sure thought she had so much more time left. He was young, she figured he would live for at least another 10 years, but life is cruel and he was taken away at a young age of 3 years.
We always think we will have so much time to spend with our loved ones and the reality is we do not. We have to cherish every single second we are alive and breathing on this earth. Not taking one moment for granted. Sometimes we get 15 years together, sometimes we get one.
Photographs are just one way we can preserve our beloved memories and hold onto the ones we love. My friend has a canvas print in her living room of her boys so everyday when she comes home they are there to greet her.
We live in a world of technology that we rely heavily on to preserve our memories. We take endless photos with our phones (which is great) and share on social media for our friends to see. But nothing compares to having a beautiful image on your wall or a custom album on your shelf to cherish for years, a print is timeless.
As my friend awaits for her new family member to arrive, we have been busy planning sessions and brainstorming some ridiculously cute ideas to ensure when the time comes to say goodbye (hopefully many years away), she will have plenty of beautiful images to remember him by.
If you have been wanting to get photos done, but are waiting the right time, please do not wait any longer. Now that fall is here, it is a perfect time to get photos done with such rich and vibrant colors!
