My name is Shaleena Higgins and I am Grande Prairie's dog photographer! I service all of the Peace Region and I am more then happy to travel to various locations, so please do not hesitate to ask if you are not local to Grande Prairie.

I am the proud dog mom to three and one in heaven.(pictured with me) After losing her, I found a whole new meaning for what I get to do for others. 
I have one of the coolest jobs in the world! I get to capture and create stunning artwork for my clients and play with dogs! Its a win win! I have been photographing dogs since 2011 when I started volunteering for Mixed Up Mutts, a rescue located in BC. Creating clear, bright images of the adoptable dogs made a huge impact on their adoption success. Currently I work with local rescue organizations in the Grande Prairie area and provide the same services. Over the years, I have been able to expand my knowledge in canine behavior through research and study. This along with the years of experience, is beneficial for helping me work with dogs that are fearful, timid, easily excitable and everything in between. If the session takes longer then scheduled, that is completely fine, as I always work at the dogs pace.
I have continued my education by attending various workshops, online training, conferences and the good ole fashion one, practice! No matter what industry we work in, furthering our education is so important and valuable. I always say, the day I stop learning is the day I will put down my camera.
